Collecting app feedback when user's delete
I'm sure you've tried emailing users who deleted your app. It doesn't work…
Super low engagement rate and short responses. We've found a few better way.
Engage where they're at
If you engage users while they're deleting or considering deleting, you're best equipped to catch those users.
If you're trying to target churn, then one of the things you should be doing is collecting user feedback from users who are deleting. You can do that with something called Quick Actions on iOS and App Shortcuts on Android.
Guides
Here's all the info you'll need to implement in your mobile app:
- React Native: Check out the expo-quick-actions package.
- Flutter: quick_actions package.
- iOS: home screen quick actions.
- Android: app shortcuts guide.
Once you've implemented the menu item, you can deep link to your app or any URL.

This is because users aren't great at giving open ended feedback. They need someone or some AI (Resubscribe) to dig in and ask contextual follow-up questions.
Good contextual follow-up questions can help you get to the bottom of user's issue or desires:
